Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
1. About These Terms
RestockBolt ("we," "our," or "us") is a Shopify application. The app sends back-in-stock alerts by email when a sold-out product returns to stock. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are the rules for the use of RestockBolt.
When you install or use RestockBolt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app. These Terms operate together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms apply to two groups of people:
- Merchants — the Shopify store owners who install RestockBolt and send the alerts.
- Customers — the shoppers who ask a store to tell them when a product is back in stock.
3. What RestockBolt Does
RestockBolt adds a sign-up form to sold-out products in your store. A customer gives an email address to get one alert about that product. When the product returns to stock, RestockBolt sends the alert. Each alert includes a link to the product.
We try to send each alert quickly and correctly. We do not guarantee that every alert arrives, or that it arrives at a specific time. Delivery depends on Shopify and on the email provider of the customer.
4. Rules for Merchants
As a merchant, you agree to these rules:
- You use RestockBolt only for a store that you control.
- You obey all laws that apply to email messages, which include the CAN-SPAM Act.
- You do not use the app to send spam, marketing campaigns, or messages that a customer did not ask for.
- You keep the consent language on your sign-up form correct and clear.
- You are responsible for the products, the prices, and the content in your store.
We can suspend or end your access if you break these rules.
5. The Email Alert Program
5.1 What the Program Is
The store sends back-in-stock alert emails to customers who sign up. A customer signs up when the customer gives an email address on a sold-out product. The store is the sender. RestockBolt sends the message for the store.
5.2 Message Frequency
The message frequency varies. The store sends an email only when a product that the customer asked about is back in stock.
5.3 How to Stop the Messages
A customer can click the unsubscribe link in any alert email to stop all RestockBolt messages. The system stops the messages immediately.
5.4 How to Get Help
A customer can write to support@restockbolt.com to get help.
5.5 Privacy
Our Privacy Policy tells you how we collect, use, and protect an email address. We do not sell or share email addresses or sign-up data with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Billing
Shopify manages all payments for RestockBolt. Your plan and your billing dates show in your Shopify admin. We do not process or store payment card data. If you cancel, Shopify stops the charges at the end of the billing period.
7. Intellectual Property
We own the RestockBolt app, the code, and the brand. You own your store, your products, and your data. These Terms do not transfer ownership between the two parties.
8. Disclaimer
We supply RestockBolt "as is." We do not guarantee that the app is always available or free of faults. We do not guarantee a specific result, such as a level of recovered sales.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum that the law permits, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that result from the use of RestockBolt. This limit includes lost sales, lost data, and messages that are late or that do not arrive.
10. Changes to These Terms
We can change these Terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we tell you through the app or by another correct method. When you continue to use RestockBolt after a change, you agree to the new Terms.
